How are you fucked up?
Those five words words were the most welcoming thing i’ve ever heard.
I was at a con, a convention of unitarian universalist youth groups, and we were doing this deep spiritual shit. I had to pee. So I got up, peed, and as I left the bathroom, I noticed two girls who were also not at the deep spiritual shit. And they noticed me. And they asked me, “How are you Fucked Up?”. I proceeded to tell them how I was fucked up. They listened, talked to me about it, told me how they were fucked up.
That was also one of the first times I felt a connection to a community. And community is one of the most important things in my life. That was a really important thing to me, and I wanted to share it.
